Ingredients

  • 3 slices Bacon , diced
  • Onion, diced
  • Garlic Cloves, minced
  • Celery Ribs, diced
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika / Dried Thyme
  • 1/4 tsp Salt & Pepper
  • 1/4 cup White Wine
  • 2 cups Clam Juice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/2 lb Red Bliss Potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 lb Clams, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Dill, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Chives, chopped

Method of Preparation

R.I Clam Chowda - Step 1

Step 1

Heat a large pot over medium heat. 

Add the bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside.

Step 2

Add the onions, garlic, and celery. Sauté for a few minutes until the onions are translucent.

Add the spices and mix in. Deglaze the pot with white wine.

Add the clam juice, water, and potatoes. 

Bring to a boil, lower the heat to simmer, and cover until the potatoes are tender.

Add the clams, bacon, and fresh herbs. 

Simmer for about 10-15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
