From our beginnings as Dave’s Fruitland, produce has always been important to Dave’s Marketplace. It is what we do best. Dave had his beginnings as a fruit peddler and most of his key people started in the business as produce workers. As a percent of sales, our produce departments far exceed supermarket averages.

It would be too easy for our buyers to purchase from one wholesaler. In any given week, our buyers are visiting 10-20 wholesalers searching for Dave’s Quality at the right price. Most importantly, we buy locally whenever we can.

At Dave’s, we sell Organic as well as conventional produce.
Organic farming is still in its infancy and procuring organic fruits and vegetables is still very difficult. As yet, there is still not enough being grown to go around. This is especially true in the summertime. We will continue to do our very best to fulfill your organic produce needs.
