Dave’s On The Go
At Dave’s, our kitchens and commissary prepare most all of the foods that we sell. That is why they taste so fresh. Our “Dave’s on the Go” meals program has proven quite popular. These meals, serving 1-2 people, are prepared in our 10,000 square foot East Greenwich Commissary. Dave’s on the Go are restaurant quality “Take Home” foods.
The name originated from an Atlanta company selling prepared foods. Actually this company, “Harry’s in a Hurry”, was started by a Rhode Islander. The company was later sold to Whole Foods but the meals to go idea stuck with us.
The best description of Dave’s on the Go meals would be quality fresh foods. The dishes are prepared, packaged in modified atmosphere and delivered fresh to the stores the following day. The state of the art packaging machinery was purchased from a company in Italy. We are the first in the area to invest in such equipment.
The shelf life on each meal is approximately 10 days. Most importantly, all packages may be frozen for your convenience. After defrosting in the microwave, just heat an additional 2 minutes and serve.

In addition to the Dave’s on the Go meals, our commissary also produces fresh Quiche, Soups, Quesidillas and prepared Seafood. The 25 varieties of soups, chowders and “Meals to Go” are a great hit when the weather turns cool. Our Seafood to Go includes stuffed shrimp, quahogs, stuffed scallops, clams casino, scallops in bacon and stuffed mushrooms: Great as an appetizer or as meal side. We sell so many stuffed quahogs and scallops that we have to import shells from France. Bon Appetit!
